Two million people come to Lake Powell every year. There are great recreation areas. Lake Powell vs Lake Mead has 186 miles long 25 wide. Look for Rainbow Bridge monument there is hiking, boating, recreation, cave exploration, sand duning….tons of outdoor ‘stuff’.
Mesa Verde is a National Park established in 1906 to preserve and interpret the archeological heritage of the Pueblo people. There are over 6,000 archaeological sites preserve in the United States. Visit the famous cliff dwellings and they have webcam and yes to camping and a small place to stay in the park
